👤 What the Buyer CMS is
The Buyer CMS is a single profile for each buyer that spans every show you run. It automatically pulls together the different usernames, name spellings, shipping addresses and total spend a buyer has used across all your streams — so “jdon”, “j_don” and “John D.” collapse into one person you can actually recognize.
Each profile gathers, in one place:
- Every username and name spelling that buyer has used.
- Every shipping address you’ve sent to.
- Lifetime spend and how many labels you’ve shipped them.
- Your own notes, a VIP flag, and a saved email / phone.
↻ It updates itself — from your shows and Packing Hub
You almost never add buyers by hand. The CMS builds itself from two things you’re already doing:
- The shows you run — as sales land during a stream, each buyer and what they spent is recorded, so they appear in the CMS right after the show ends.
- Packing Hub — when you upload a label PDF or link a label to a buyer, that buyer’s real shipping address and a confirmed shipped‑label count flow straight onto their profile (this back‑fills your past shows too).
In short: selling adds the buyer and their spend; packing their label adds their confirmed address and marks them verified. You just sell and pack — the profile fills in on its own.
✔ Verified vs. unverified buyers
- Unverified — so far you’ve only seen them spend (from a show’s sales). There’s no confirmed shipping address on file yet.
- Verified — you’ve actually shipped them a label through Packing Hub, so the CMS has a real address it can trust.
Want a buyer verified? Link or upload their label in Packing Hub. The address and label count attach automatically — even for shows you ran before.
2 Using it day to day
- Search the list on the left, then click a buyer to open their full profile on the right.
- See every username, address and spelling merged together — handy for recognizing a repeat buyer and confirming where to ship.
- Add a Note, mark them VIP, or save an email / phone on the Contact card. These are yours and they persist across every future show.
📦 Shared across your packing machines
The Buyer CMS reads the same shared folder as Packing Hub. Connect that folder (or just hit ↻ Refresh) and every machine you pack on shows the same buyer history.
- Buyers and addresses added on one station appear on the others once the folder syncs.
- Use ↻ Refresh to reload after another machine has packed, or after you finish a fresh show.
★ Best practices
- Link labels in Packing Hub for every order — that’s what turns spend‑only buyers into verified profiles with real addresses.
- Keep buyer names consistent with how they appear on the platform so usernames and spellings merge into one person instead of splitting.
- Add a note the moment it matters — great buyer, slow payer, packing instructions — and it’ll be waiting next time they show up.
- Save an email or phone when you have it, so you can reach a buyer even across different platforms.
- Refresh before you rely on it if you pack on multiple machines.
